Corinthian came out on top in Monday’s battle of the Casuals, after defeating Walton 3-0. Max Oldham, Shaun Brown and Reyon Dillon all found the back of the net in the second half, to keep the pressure on Greenwich Borough for the all-important home advantage in the play-offs.
That said, The Casuals have in fact, won both encounters this season, with Borough failing to score against them. In March, Corinthian won 3-0 at Badgers Sports Ground, and in December they won 2-0 at home.
Having only lost one in their last ten, and having kept seven clean sheets in that period, the in-form side are ‘quietly confident’ ahead of their play-off semi-final. On Tuesday, BOTN spoke with manager, James Bracken.
“We’re not naïve enough to think that we can just go in, and do what we do, and that’s good enough – we have to do what we do, to the best of our ability. We have to stop them doing what they’re good at, and exploit any weaknesses”
